Terms & Policies

CREDIT/DEBIT CARD and VALID ID REQUIRED AT TIME OF BOOKING AND WHEN CHECKING IN.


CANCELLATIONS

You must cancel by 4pm PST at least thirty (30) days before your stay to cancel a room reservation and receive any refund. Guests must cancel via the way they booked. Direct bookings please call us directly. Those booking via one of our channel partners (Expedia, Booking.com, etc..) must cancel directly with them under their terms/conditions. Because we are a boutique property, it is very difficult to re-book our rooms for last minute cancellations. If you cancel with less than 30 days notice, payment in full is required and will be enforced. 

 

NO EMERGENCY CANCELS

For those unsure about their plans or think their plans may change, we recommend you PURCHASE TRIP INSURANCE (google "trip insurance") AS WE CANNOT REFUND FOR EMERGENCIES.


Standard Check In, Main Office: 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM 

Our office is open for check in from 3:00PM to 6:00 PM for those that choose not to use the self check in option. 


Early Check-in

We cannot guarantee early check-in but you can call us after 11am on your arrival day and we'll be able to see if we can get you in earlier than 3pm. 


SELF CHECK IN AVAILABLE - ANY TIME AFTER 3PM - REQUIRES ID/CREDIT CARD VERIFIED VIA TEXT BEFORE OFFICE CLOSING

Pre-verify your ID/Credit card info with us in advance and receive your unique building/room code via text or email on arrival day when your room is ready!


CHECK OUT: 11:00 AM - Noon Option ($25)

Noon check outs can be accommodated at an additional fee of $25. Exceeding check-out times without notifying the front desk in advance can result in extra charges, including, but not limited to, late check-out fees ($25 first 30 minutes) and/or an extra night's charges being applied to your bill.

 

ROOM CAPACITY IS 2 - CHILDREN OF ANY AGE COUNT AS 1 PERSON

Parkside Inn has a 2 person limit for who may occupy a particular guest room in the hotel and only allow registered guests to use its facilities. Failure to otherwise comply with this policy can result in eviction, with no refund of any money paid or owing in connection with the stay.


BRINGING NON-GUESTS INTO THE BUILDING IS NOT ALLOWED

A $250 charge per person allowed into our facilities will be automatically applied to the invoice. Failure to otherwise comply with this policy can result in eviction, with no refund of any money paid or owing in connection with the stay.


NO BUSINESS/VIDEO/PHOTOGRAPHY POLICY

USING OUR BUSINESS AS YOURS NOT ALLOWED. Any business activity and/or Commercial video/photography is not permitted without express written permission from hotel management. Guests may shoot non-commercial photography or video for their personal use (no professional equipment, lighting, etc.) in their room or on property with respect for the privacy and tranquility of other guests on property. Special photography privileges may apply to guests who purchase a full property buyout. Please contact hotel management with questions about our photo policy or to inquire about shooting commercial photography onsite. Failure to otherwise comply with this policy can result in eviction, with no refund of any money paid or owing in connection with the stay.


PAYMENT/ID POLICY

Credit card only. Payment for room charge and tax is processed upon booking your reservation and, if refundable, becomes non-refundable 30 days before arrival date (may be sooner in some cases). Valid credit card and valid government ID of actual guest on reservation must be presented upon arrival. 


$250 SECURITY DEPOSIT HOLD ON CREDIT CARD WHEN CHECKING IN 

We require a $250 security deposit authorization (hold) on the credit card used for this booking when checking in. Guest may use an alternate credit card in their name for this if needed. Security deposit amount minus any charges/damages will be voided after your departure. 


CARDHOLDER BOOKING FOR SOMEONE ELSE

For someone other than the cardholder to receive services using their card, we require a Credit Card Authorization Form authorizing these purchases to be completed, signed by the cardholder and returned to us at least 7 days prior to their arrival. We also require authorization of ID and Credit card of cardholder as well as verification via returned email from cardholder. 


EARLY DEPARTURES

All departures prior to date agreed at time of check-in will be subject to the room and tax charges for the full stay. 


MINORS

Where a minor is accompanied by an adult, we require the adult to agree, in writing, not to leave any minor 12 years of age or younger unattended at any time during their stay, and to control the minor's behavior during their stay so as to preserve the peace and quiet of our other guests and to prevent any injury to any person and damage to any property. (Civil Code Section 1865(d).) Refusal to sign such an agreement is grounds for refusing accommodations, and any failure to otherwise comply with this policy can result in eviction, with no refund of any money paid or owing in connection with the stay.


DAMAGES

Any person who themselves or their guests negligently or intentionally causes damage to the hotel or any furniture or furnishings within the hotel, shall be liable for damages sustained by the hotel and/or staff, including the hotel's loss of revenue resulting from the inability to rent or lease rooms while the damage is being repaired. 


GENERAL POLICIES

Parkside Inn has a zero tolerance policy in which it will refuse to admit or refuse service or accommodation in the hotel or may remove a person who: while on the premises of the hotel acts in an obviously intoxicated or disorderly manner, destroys or threatens to destroy hotel property, or causes or threatens to cause a public disturbance; or refuses or is unable to pay for the accommodations or services. 


ALCOHOL

Alcoholic beverage consumption is restricted to those 21 years or older with valid identification.

 

SMOKING/ODORS LEFT IN ROOM

We do not permit cooking, smoking of anything, vaping, scented candles, incense burning, or any other odor producing activity in any of our guest rooms. Battery operated candles are available for your pleasure - just don't light them!! The Inn is a totally non-smoking facility in which we enforce for the safety and comfort of our guests, as well as maintaining the integrity of this historic building. Guests who violate this policy, or who allow this by others in their room will be charged a minimum of $250 and up to a $500 deodorizing and cleaning fee. In the case where the odor persists to the point that the room is unable to be used the next night, guests will be charged for this night as well. Odors permeates the rugs, bedspreads, pillows, curtains, etc and it may become necessary for us to remove these odors by cleaning all the curtains, bed linens, carpets and in some instances the room must be repainted to eliminate persistent odors. Any failure to comply with this policy can result in eviction, with no refund of any money paid or owing in connection with the stay.


PARKING

Parking is available on the street in front of the Inn and Villa buildings. Street parking from 8am to 10pm, Monday - Friday has a 2 hour limit. We have guest parking passes that eliminate this 2 hour restriction that are available at no charge (we do put a $50 hold on your card for the pass which we release once we verify you have left the pass on departure). These passes are irreplaceable and if mistakenly taken must be returned immediately - we charge $50 for each day a pass is not returned. The Inn at Parkside is not in any way responsible for any parking violations that you may incur. 


PETS

Parkside Inn does not allow pets due to concerns that some guests have allergic reactions towards pet dander and due to the threat of ticks and fleas. A mandatory $250 fee will be charged for any one that brings a pet into a guest room. We only accommodate registered service dogs. Guests are responsible for any damages caused by their service dog. Service dogs must remain with their guests at all times and must not disturb other guests with behavior they are trained not to do (approaching other guests, barking without a reason, etc.). Any evidence of an animal going to the bathroom in the room with incur a $250 minimum cleaning fee. Any failure to comply with this policy can result in eviction, with no refund of any money paid or owing in connection with the stay.


LOST & FOUND

Parkside Inn is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen personal items. Should any guests lose personal belongings whilst staying at Parkside Inn, if recovered, the item will be recorded as 'found'. Parkside Inn keeps detailed records of all 'found' items, and will make a reasonable effort to contact the guest if an item is left in the hotel's guest room after the guest has checked-out which will be placed in our Lost & Found safety box. We will ship items back at the owner's expense (shipping charge plus $20 handling fee). Any items in the Lost & Found, which are not claimed within sixty (60) days, will be donated to a local charity or discarded.
